THE DAILY LIFE

THE CHALLENGE: In an attempt to revitalise their business and promote revenue from online advertising Fairfax Media created “Daily Life” (dailylife.com.au). The aim – to target busy Australian women with a mix of specialised media, news, lifestyle and business content ranging from food, style health & beauty, and relationships.

THE SOLUTION: Creating the entire vision and strategy for Daily Life included the design and layout of the website as well as the logo and corporate identity. The logo was designed to cohesively tie directly to any online advertising campaigns or corporate colours. The first of which was “Breast Cancer Awareness” where the Daily Life logo and themes were displayed in pink. These changes were coded into the back end to allow for easy changes to the site based on the sponsor. Additional the entire website was designed and coded within the confines of Fairfax Media’s internal systems which created a unique set of design challenges against their internal coding systems and standards. These challenges were meet with great success and today Daily Life is an integral part of Fairfax Media’s online revenue as well as the millions of women it reaches.
