THE BRIEF:
The founder of HYS Renovations, David approached MDB about revamping and helping them to generate new leads for their company.
THE CHALLENGE:
The company name : HYS RENOVATIONS sounded odd, it had a following of clients but was not attracting raving fans. We knew we needed to rename the company, rebrand it and showcase it in a better light online in order to create a new following, build a personal connection between customers and the company as well as simplify the online experience in order to generate new leads.
One of the main challenges was to recreate the brand in a way it would not deter the existing clients from the company. We needed to also motivate the team. There was no existing brand or website – we needed to start from scratch and create a brand and online presence that would capture the companies target demographic of luxury home builds, rebuilds, renovations and custom joinery work.
THE SOLUTION:
After speaking with Dave and his team we defined the new business and it’s goals. Since the family had been a family owned business and found David held a strong surname we could brand we put forward to him the name : YORK CORPORATION as an umbrella company with YORK BUILDING as the main company brand.
We coupled this with the tagline: BUILDERS, INNOVATORS, DREAMERS, DOERS.
This tagline captured every aspect of the business services and created an emotional connection between David, his craft, his company and his customers. We wanted to build a culture.
We designed a new logo that is used across a range of media such as t shirts, documents, pitch decks, invoices as well as building equipment, signboards and drop sheets.
THE TECHNICAL BIT:
We built the new York Building website using wordpress. The site houses an online enquiry form on each page, showcases his portfolio of projects through a gorgeous array of imagery that rotates in animated carousels. We connected it with social media channels in order to push cross platform advertising and get the business the exposure and ROI.
