THE BRIEF:
The Director of Pulse Electrical approached MDB to design a brand and think of a tagline that would stand out amongst all the electricians in Sydney, Australia. He also needed an online presence (website) and marketing materials to gain exposure and reach potential customers.

THE CHALLENGE:
To think of a tagline that stood out amongst all of his competitors in a crowded market place.

THE SOLUTION:
We designed a logo that resembled a plug with a thick bold font. We put together a colour palette that represented a “switched on light bulb” – bright orange on a black background. The founder is a young, vibrant individual and encouraged us to think outside the box and push the boundaries. We knew we had to be different to stand out. We decided to bring in some humour.
We coupled the logo with tagline : PULSE ELECTRICAL “WE TURN YOU ON.” The logo and tagline have caused quite a stir and always get a laugh in traffic when people see the branded truck. Pulse have created a name for themselves in the Sydney market due to being “different” in their approach. We knew that everyone loved a story coupled with some humour.

THE TECHNICAL BIT:
Pulse Electrical’s site is built using wordpress. It is a one page site with a sticky nav and clear call to actions. It allows potential customers to browse through the services quickly and call to book a service with a technicial or get a quote easily and efficiently.
